West Seneca, New York, January 12th, 2017– The NYPA Midget Association announces the retention of NASCAR Whelen All American Series Tier 2 status at Holland Speedway. The NYPA Midget Association weekly series will race in a support capacity for the Pro Modified division, along with the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance Pro Chargers, M&M U-Pull It Figure 8’s, Bank of Holland NASCAR Hornets, Rookie Fours, and Advance Auto Parts INEX Legends.

“We are excited to have NASCAR and Holland Speedway’s continuing support and we look forward to being part of the Whelen All American Series again.” says Charlie DiRosa, NYPA President.

In today’s economy fielding a weekly race team is more than challenging but as a part of the NWAAS program, the NYPA Midget Association weekly division can look forward to a generous end-of-year point fund as part of the NWAAS Tier 2 benefits. The point fund in total amounts to $3,000, and the fund is distributed amongst the top ten finishers at the end of the season, with the winner taking home a check for $1,000.

Another benefit of  being part of the NWAAS is the UNOH Youth Achievement Award for drivers aged 14 to 17. In addition to a trip to the NWAAS Awards Banquet, a $10,000 UNOH scholarship is awarded to the recipient.

More than 20 drivers and teams will compete in both the NYPA Midget Association NASCAR Whelen All American Series events at Holland Speedway as well as the regional touring series which will see the drivers competing at 5 different tracks in the region, Holland Speedway, Lancaster National Speedway, Lake Erie Speedway, Chapel Hill Raceway, and The Chemung Speedrome.
