REMINDER: TRANSPONDER PROTOCOL
Transponders are required for all NYPA Midget Association Events in 2017. NYPA Midget Association mandates that you must have an approved transponder in order to compete in officially scored sessions like heat races and features. It is imperative that your transponder is in working order. If it is not operational then you will not be scored.
Please remember to charge your transponder ahead of time. A full charge takes two and a half to four hours and that will last the whole race event however if your transponder is low when you get to the track, it only needs a one hour charge to last for a feature race.
If you change cars during the course of a race event you must remove your transponder and mount it to the car you are driving. In other words the transponder is tied to the driver and not to the car. If you have any questions pertaining to the mounting position of the transponder please call Charlie DiRosa directly.
Technical Requirements: The only 2 transponders that are current for racing with the Midget Association are the MyLaps X2 (Red) or the MyLaps AMB (Red).
